Jack's Magic The Iron, Cobalt, & Spot Etching Stuff

    Item # Y3318 Manuf.# JMIRON1

The Iron, Cobalt, & Spot Etching Stuff (STAIN SOLUTION #1) from Jack’s Magic is a non-acidic product for removing iron, cobalt, and spot-etching stains from all types of pool surfaces without draining the pool. Just balance the water, and lower chlorine level below 1 ppm. Add a sequestering agent to the pool like Jack's Magic Blue Stuff or Purple Stuff, and then broadcast the granular stain remover over the entire pool. Circulate pool continuously on high speed for 24 hours.

Iron stains in pools can be localized rusty spots, or can appear as an all-over stain, usually in a burnt orange color, but ranging in hue from light orange to dark. Cobalt stains occur in fiberglass pools; a reaction in the gelcoat produces cobalt oxides, which appear as very dark blue spots. When used as directed, Jack's Magic Iron, Cobalt and Spot Etching Stuff will remove such stains from your pool within 48 hours, in most cases.

Available in a 1 lb. container.

Dosage: Use 2 lbs Jack's Magic Iron, Cobalt and Spot Etching Stuff per 12,000 gallons of pool water.
Also Required: 12 ounces of Jack's Magic Blue Stuff, or Purple Stuff per 10,000 gallons of pool water.
Suggested: Jack's Magic Stain ID Kit, to verify treatment with the Iron Stuff, or Stain Solution #1.
Suggested: Jack's Magic Filter Fiber Stuff, to improve filtration during the stain removal process.

During a #1 treatment, is it ok to wait for the Chlorine to come down on its own?
Generally No. During warmer months, use a Chlorine Neutralizer, or Jack's Magic After Shock Chlorine Remover, to immediately lower the chlorine level and start treatment the same day.
What happens during the treatment if my dog gets into the pool?
When doing a Stain #1 treatment there are no adverse conditions that would harm a pet. However, we don’t advise swimming during a Stain #1 treatment is because the Chlorine level is reduced below 1 ppm.
How long does Jack's Iron Stuff treatment take?
Generally, if the chemistry is adjusted properly, a Stain Solution #1 treatment should be fully reacted within 48 hours.
Help! My stains turned black after I used this product!
Stains turning black is a reaction to copper, and you have copper stains instead of iron. Please use Jack's Magic Copper & Scale stuff.
Is it safe to swim after I use the Iron Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff?
No. Do not swim during a Stain Solution #1 Treatment. Wait until the stains have been removed and your water chemistry is back to normal.
