    Suction Cleaners

      good basic pool cleaner
been buying kreepy krauly pool cleaners for about 25 years...owned about 4 of them...including this new ez vac.....needed a new one...saw this one on sale on ebay for 132.00...outstanding deal...problem was that i have a cement/gunite pool surface...and it said it was for aboveground pools only...and the contrete ones on ebay were 275.00 to 500.00 dollars....couldn't afford that...i.had to take a chance on this cheaper one at 132.00 plus free shipping.....and it works as well as my past ones...i ... read more look as these kreepy krauly devices as helpers...they do about 70 percent of the pool and i finish the rest...also my pool has a skimmer and a side suction hole for this device..don't know how it would work with a skimmer...it did come with different valve regulators...but not sure how they work...my pool man set up the controls for the side suction hole in my pool with the controls/valves by the pump and filter...so i can adjust the suction from high to low...over the years..i have noticed that these things are taking more and more suction to operate...when i first opened this pool 25 years ago...i barely turned on the suction and it would operate...but as i bought them in the future...it took more and more suction...this one takes all the way up to 3/4 of the valve control....but i like the kreepy to move quickly......because we have edison electric...and they are expensive...so i need this thing to get the job done quickly...or at least 60-70 percent of the cleaning...and i will do the rest with my pole/vacuum device which i have a hose for. when i get a chance......also this new ez vac kreepy krauly doesn't like large leaves...its the worst of all my past kraulys....so if you have a strong pump and suction and you don't have a lot of large leaves...and you understand that this device is good for cleaning the pool up to 70 percent...this is a perfect little device.....very happy with it....don't really care for its random circling around the pool...but since we have so much dirt and dust in my area...and its getting worst every year...this device comes in handy...really cleans up the fine dirt and particles on the bottom and sides of the pool...also you have to experiment with this krauly...if you use the weigh it comes with...it tends to stay on the bottom of the pool more...if you take the weigh off...it tends to be on the floors a little more...also the more suction the faster it goes and tends to hit the walls a little more...less suction it hits the bottom a little more and does a more better jobs cleaning...but take more time...and my electric bills are high enough...so i put my krauly on high suction...so it moves quicker and gets its 70 percent done quicker...this aboveground pool cleaner does work on a cement/gunite pool...my only question is the foot pad on this set up for aboveground vinyl pools which would make it softer and would wear out quicker...and will a gunite/cement foot pad work on this ez vac pool cleaner

      Product So-So
I have a 24ft by 72 in deep dished out above ground pool. Cleaner might work well on a flat bottom pool, but with 6 feet in the middle, cleaner had trouble getting up the sides and cleaning other portions of the pool Also got hung up on stairs, which i had to unscrew and remove. Overall..seems like a good product, just not right for a 72 inch deep pool. I returned it after 1 week.

      HE IS MY POOL GUY!
I LOVE MY KREEPY KRAULY. HE IS VERY EFFICIENT FOR MY ABOVE GROUND. I HAVE NAMED HIM FRANCO. I VERY EASILY ATTACH HIM TO MY INTAKE BASKET. HE LOVES TO RUN AROUND IN MY POOL CLEANING EVERY LITTLE SPECK. I NO LONGER HAVE TO GET THAT BIG BRUSH VACCUM OUT AND TORTURE MY SELF FOR HALF A DAY. I JUST SWIM AROUND AT THE SAME TIME HE IS CLEANING. I STORE HIM ON MY DECK. THE HOSE IS HUNG AROUND A HOOK ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY DECK. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR IT'S OVERALL EFFICIENTCY.

      What I Needed
Great product! I only got to use it about 2 times before I had to close the pool, but worked exactly as needed.

      Impressive
I've been using the cyclonic automatic cleaner with my automatic vacuum for a few weeks now. It really does keep the debris out of the filter basket.

Hayward Pool Vac - Skimmer connection
I've had this cleaner for about 4 years now, and I've replaced the "feet" twice, and the paddles on each side. It constantly gets stuck at the steps, which scratches various surfaces of the cleaner. My biggest complaint is that leaves get stuck in the "throat" , and constantly requires me to pull clumps of leaves out to get the machine moving again. My house is surrounded by tall mature trees, and due to leaf production, this equipment just doesn't do the job at my location. Probably fine where ... read more there are no large trees nearby.

This pool vac works pretty good for the price.
I have been using this vac and its earlier models since i put in the pool. This is #4. If you do not use a service, you will have to take ca re of some maint. yourself. It will deteriorate due to the pool chemistry over time. If you have steps and cranies it can get stuck. This wears out the pads that propel the vac. I recommend using the bumper. You will have to do a little fitting with a file to get it to fit flat to the bottom and not block the pods. Be carefull to not overtighten the screws ... read more as they can strip. The other parts can be replaced as needed.

      Great value! Super company support!
Terrific cleaner, easy to use. It climbs the walls and does a great job on the sides and floor of my gunite pool. Hayward tech support the best around. Even out of warranty, they are absolutely the best company to do business with. I have used this cleaner for 4+ years. Once, under warranty, overnighted it to them, they completely rebuilt the unit, and paid for return shipping, all done within 5 days -- no charge. Out of warranty, they did the same - no charge! Works flawlessly. Occasionally, if ... read more big debris (rocks, tile grout flaking off), get caught inside, it's fairly easy to get this out. Need to check the "flippers", which occasionally either need to be replaced or re-attached. Otherwise, no complaints. I use it in conjunction with a leaf/debris catcher (separate item). The best thing about it is, there are no electrical cords to mess with, you can leave the unit and the hose floating in the pool when not in use....just disengage it from the skimmer and let it float!

      Must Have for Polaris
This product is great and allowing me to enjoy the pool even more. Prior to purchasing the product, I would come home and see the Polaris sweeper stuck on the drain and the bottom of the pool still litered with debris. Now, I don't have to monitor the Polaris and when I come home from work, I can jump into the pool....no pausing to manually sweep the pool anymore.

      Essential for an Automatic Cleaner
I got an AquaVac Tiger Shark and didn't understand why it didn't get the whole pool clean overnight. I ran it during the day once and saw that it got caught on top of the main drain and just sat there. After I purchased and installed the Unicover, it hasn't gotten stuck again and now my pool is in great shape. Excellent purchase, and essential for an automatic cleaner.

      Real Problem Solver
The Polaris Unicover really does what it says! The pool cleaner is able to work without getting caught on the bottom drain cover. It takes the worry out of cleaning the pool.

      Great delivery time
Needed replacement parts quickly because we were preparing the pool to close. Got the parts in two days. Can't ask for anything better than that.

      Just what the doctor ordered!
I debated on buying a new Kreepy Krauly but I decided that spending a third of the money it would cost for a new model seemed a better option. I'm glad I did it, the replacement parts made it work like it was brand new.

      still fits
got new wings and a pleated disc and they fit my Kreepy Krauly from the '90's. now it may last another 20 years.

      GREAT SUCCESS
I AM A NEW POOL OWNER AND HAVE STRUGGLED KEEPING THE POOL CLEAN BY HAND. SO, I RESEARCHED AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS AND SPOKE TO FRIENDS WHO ARE POOL OWNERS. MOST OF THEM REFERRED ME TO POLARIS BUT I REALLY HAD A PROBLEM SPEND CLOSE TO A THOUSAND DOLLARS. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE KREEPY KRAULY AND ITS PERFORMANCE!!! I CAN IMAGINE OTHER POOL CLEANERS FOR 3 TIMES THE PRICE DOING ANY BETTER OF A JOB.

The ONLY pool vac I'll ever buy
When I bought my home with an existing pool 20 years ago, it came with a Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner. After more than 15 years of use, the Kreepy needed to be replaced. I fought with hubby to purchase a new Kreepy, but his heart was set on a robotic cleaner that cost more than twice what a Kreepy cost. I was never happy with the robotic cleaner's performance - it never cleaned as well as my Kreepy. After the robotic's third breakdown in 3 years, I finally convinced hubby to go back to Kreepy ... read more Krauly. We are both tickled at how well this cleaner operates...and the rebate made the deal sweeter!

Should have bought this years ago.
Recently purchased this for the pool I have had for 19 years without an automatic pool cleaner. This cleaner was easy to assemble, easy to install, and does a great job of cleaning the bottom and sides of my pool. I now regret spending to much time and effort in the past manually vacuuming the pool. Since it has minimal moving parts, has excellent dependability reviews, and replacement parts for many year models are easily available, I expect to have this cleaner for a long time.

    Suction Cleaner Automatic Pool Vacuums

Shop from the most popular suction pool cleaners like the AquaNaut (The Pool Cleaner)Hayward Aqua CritterKreepy Krauly Sand Shark, and the Zodiac MX6 cleaner. Energy efficient suction pool cleaners use the power of your pool pump to vacuum debris and particles into your pool’s filter, and can be directed into specific patterns for customized cleaning.

    Benefits of Suction Pool Cleaners

     1. Lowest cost pool cleaners, starting at less than $100.
     2. Fewer moving parts and wearable parts, for less maintenance and repairs.
     3. No additional cost to operate, runs when your pool filter pump is running.
     4. Available Skim Vac Plates trap leaf debris in the skimmer basket.
     5. Available In-line Leaf Canisters handle large and heavy leaf debris.

How Suction Cleaners Work: Suction pool cleaners connect to your pool skimmer or dedicated vacuum line, and are powered by the suction of water from your pool pump. With models designed to clean in-ground and above ground pools, suction cleaners move about the pool to vacuum walls and floor, bringing the dirt and debris into the pump basket and pool filter for removal.

Suction Cleaner Installation: Suction cleaners assemble in minutes without tools. Simply join the 4' hose sections together to reach the furthest part of the pool. Connect one end of the hose to the cleaner head, and the other into your skimmer or vacuum line. Adjust pump suction valves if needed to pull more water from the cleaner, and start moving the cleaner. A 1 hp pump or greater is recommended to provide enough suction power.
