      works great
Much easier than chlorine when used in conjunction with a floater with tabs.

Much more economical than going to the pool store
I recently switched from Chlorine to Bromine in my Spa and all of the stores I checked in were higher priced. I just go on my computer, order what I need and it arrives at my door usually within 3 days. I love not having to go out to get my pool supplies, it gives me more time to swim and soak!

      Quick & Easy
I highly recommend Leisure Time's Chlorine Test Strips and other Leisure Time products. The Test Strips are easy to use and provide a quick reading of your spa water quality.

      Easy to use and read.
These strips are easy to use and very accurate. The only challange we had with them is making sure your hand is dry when reaching into the container to get one of the strips out. If any water gets into the bottle the other strips will be activated and unusable. I would recommend this product.

really makes a difference in your water
I didn't realize it - but this really does help maintain the water. We noticed that we did not have to empty/clean/fillup our hot tub as often when we used this.

      Terrific!
We used the Frog previously in our above ground pool and were able to use minimal chlorine and still have a beautiful pool. Everyone always commented about how nice it was to swim in our pool and not have the chlorine worry. Now we use the Frog in our spa and we use less bromine and everyone feels great!

      Worry f r ee
My spa has this system built in and uses the tube cartridges. When I first got the spa we went the chlorine route because our Pool was chlorine and I was new to owning both. I figured simpler was better and both using the same chemicals meant less chemicals laying around to irritate nature and my animals. The chlorine was too harsh for my son's sensitive skin so I switched over to bromine in the spa. That in itself made a huge difference and was a pleasant one at that. With chlorine my water ... read more would get cloudy and smelly and I had to use heavy doses of chlorine to keep it straight. We do use our spa daily. Bromine sanitized ,its never gotten that way and the water always smells "fresh". I couldn't find just the mineral cartridge on the site so I got this one that is supposed to go inside your filter. It fit in my inline feeder for spa frog so that's where it is and I'm using less bromine now than before. I really like the spa frog bromine mineral system. It's great!

      Bromine feeder
used in a hot tub seems to work, lightly built don't expect long life from it.

      Nice little brominator
Finally!, something that controls the bromine well in my spa. Fill it weekly, drop it in and your done! Adjustable. Love this thing!

      Just OK
Good way to add bromine to the hot tub. Do not like the way that it gravitates straight for the filter basket and stays there. I think by this act alone too much water is swirling through it, dissolving the bromine faster than necessary. Price was right.

      perfect product for spa
We fought trying to balance our hot tub water chemicals for years and hated the way chlorine or bromine tabs smelled and irritated our skin. I purchased these filters about 5 years ago and LOVE them. If you are looking for something to ease the maintenance and get rid of harsh chemicals I highly recommend this filter. They actually last about six months and all we do is throw in a little lithium shock once in a while! Awesome product!

      Awesome!!!
I love this stuff more than words can convey. I started out using Bromine and even though the water was clear I itched!!! Swim suits faded and it bothered my lungs. 5 months into owning a spa I had a party and the water went to pot. I'm pretty dedicated about the water, used a routine for chemical treatments recommended by the dealer, and drained and cleaned it even in the winter. I decided at that point I didn't want to sit in chemicals anymore and I ordered Le Naturel Spa. For over 2 months I ... read more tried every thing that they recommended and it just didn't work. The water was discolored, cloudy and smelly. I hated my spa. A friend suggested Nature2. I LOVE IT!!! We were in the spa tonight, in the dark, with the spa lights on. The water was so sparkling clear that the water and lights looked like glitter in the current. It's so easy. I have a routine, not sure that it's exactly the right one, but it's working wonderfully. No more cloudy water, no odor's, no itching. I love my spa again!!

      Beats Chlorine !
All things considered, bromine is the way to go. We have a 21,000 gallon, outdoor, in ground, vinyl pool in Bullhead City, Arizona. sure bromine is more expensive, but when you consider the costs of other chemicals needed regardless of which sanitizer you use, bromine comes pretty close to chlorine. Plus, there is no odor from bromine !

      Bromine vs Chlorine
We've owned and maintained our in ground pool for 23 years and have from the beginning used bromine as our preferred sanitizer. Yes, it may be more expensive, but unlike chlorine it does not smell, contribute to red eye, and impact ones clothes. In that time I have had my pool water tested professionally only twice (in the first year). The 50 lb container which I buy has the bromine packaged in small plastic packets which facilites loading up my automatic brominator/chlorinator. I buy a 25 kg ... read more (approx. 55 lb) bag of baking soda in bulk locally (Bulk Barn) to adjust the PH and add 10 litres of liquid chlorine about once a month as a shock treatment. I check the water quality about every 2 weeks with a bromine test strip which generally tells me whether I need to add some baking soda. That's about it.

      Almost perfect
Great kit, except the bromine tablets won't work with our spa. Didn't realize it until after we purchased it. Our spa doesn't have a bromine feeder, so only granules can be used. Other than that, the other items all will work great.

      Great kit, needs Bromine Startup!
The kit is perfect.....except it could use the bromine kick start. Then it would be 5 stars for sure. Since this is my first time using bromine, I didn't know, so I had to go buy that separately.

More About Sanitizing Spa & Hot Tub Chemicals

Just as with swimming pools, sanitizing your spa or hot tub is your primary responsibility as a spa owner. Sanitizing spa chemicals include bromine tabs or chlorinating granules, spa shock, mineral purifiers and more. The science behind spa sanitizers is by no means an exact science either. Depending on the size of your spa and how often you use it, treating the water with spa hot tub chemicals will vary. Nevertheless, there are a few basic components of hot tub sanitizers that all spas will require.

First and foremost, you have chlorine or bromine. While chlorine is the typical go-to sanitizer for swimming pools, bromine is the main spa sanitizer. Because bromine remains stable at higher temperatures it is recommended for spa and hot tubs. In addition, bromine is less harsh than other spa chemicals so it is suitable for swimmers with sensitive skin. In order to keep your spa free of organic contaminants like bacteria or algae, sanitizing spa chemicals like bromine or chlorine are absolutely necessary.

In addition to bromine, one of the major hot tub sanitizers is a spa ozonator, a mineral purifier and sanitizer and even a simple-to-use floating mineral purifier. These spa chemicals are designed to reduce or prevent stains and scale build up and to control metals that enter the water. Metal contaminants can stain the walls of your spa and can even discolor the hair of fair-haired swimmers.

This is just a basic review of some of the chemicals for spas that you’ll find at In the Swim. For hot tub owners who prefer natural spa and hot tub sanitizers, In the Swim carries a range of great products from Leisure Time spa chemicals. Furthermore, when it comes to water balancing chemicals, it is also important to regularly test the water quality. To that end, In the Swim also offers AquaChek test strips and Leisure Time test strips for spa chlorine and spa bromine.

Always make sure to maintain clean, comfortable spa water for your family, friends, and guests with the best spa sanitizing chemicals. At In the Swim we have all the spa cleaning chemicals you will need to keep your water clean and crystal clear with little or no hassle so you can spend more time enjoying your hot tub and less time maintaining it.
