    Pool Clarifiers

      What is in this bottle?
Purchased because of product claim. I have too much trust for product claims made about pool chemicals. My pool does sparkle now and is very clear. Was it because of super clarifier? I do not know. Next week will be the third week for super clarifier weekly maintenance dosage to my pool. I think this bottle will last for the remainder of this pool season the all of the next year's pool season. I would give super clarifier a higher rating if I knew the content of super clarifier and that content ... read more was known to be a pool clarifier.

      Super is the correct adjective
Super Clarifier is such an outstanding product. I have to mark the calendar to assure I don't forget to put it in the pool. The water stays so clear and sparkling, it never "needs" to be clarified. This is really remarkable since the pool water is extremely high in TDS (total dissolved solids).

      Great Product
I have used Super Clarifier along with several of InTheSwim products over the past several years and have always been very satisfied with how well they work, to make my work so much easier. Super Clarifier has my pool water sparking in no time at all.

      Good product.
Seems to work as advertised. I did put this inside a knee high hose so I can take it out of the skimmer when I back wash. It does get slimmy so this works well for me.

      A very beneficial purchase
I've had problems with the pool water being cloudy. Water looked really good and clear upon opening up for summer with some debris on bottom. After cleanup, it has been very hard to clear the water up. Shock and algaecide have been added regularly per instructions. Chlorine level has looked good with a slight lowering of pH (increase was added per inst.). Still been cloudy. I added Miraclear on the afternoon it was delivered by placing in the skimmer basket. The next afternoon, the pool water ... read more was crystal clear. Unbelievable. I am sold. And if it lasts for approx. a month, even better. This does not take the place of keeping the chemicals added and balanced, but what a huge help toward clear water.

      WOW!!!
We had a real problem with suspended matter that left our pool cloudy no matter what we tried. Miraclear was our last hope before draining. Dropped one in the pump basket and the water was visibly clearer the next day. After 2 days we could clearly see the bottom of the pool!! We didn't get 30 days of clarity from it, we got around 2 weeks instead, but WOW! did it improve the water clarity when nothing else would! I Highly recommend Miraclear!

      best clarifier made
This clarifier is definitely the best I have purchased. The 4-in-1 option is great because I have not had to use a separate metal control product. Also, I have been able to backwash my filter less frequently, and I have had water that absolutely shimmers in the sun since I have been using this product. It does all that is says, and is not much more expensive than a regular simple clarifier. I noticed a huge difference once I started using this product versus the regular clarifier. I always get ... read more compliments on how much the water sparkles.

      Fantastic stuff
We use Baquacil in our pool and when we opened it this June-it was so cloudy-you couldn't even see the bottom of the shallow end. After 2 wks of back and forth to the dealer-regulating the PH and Alkalinity-still-no progress. We kept pouring money into shock and still no progress. I read the ad for the Ultra-clear and figured, what have we got to lose, we tried everything else. Well, a week later when I received it-we poured in the appropriate amount and within 2 days the entire pool was clear. ... read more Thank You for such a great product.

      Best Purchase
I have been trying for 2 months to clear up our pool. Nothing had worked until I tried this product. Our pool was blue but still cloudy and the more chemical we put in the worse it got until First Aid. I can now see the bottom of my pool!

      Excellent!
We had an algae bloom from trapped water in a damaged solar cover. We killed the algea, but the pool became foggy. We tried everything to get rid the fog. Spent lots of money in the process. Finally, I read some reviews on this product and for the price thought it was worth a try. It cleared the pool up overnight! Now, I keep a bottle on hand. At the hint of a fog I put a dose in and the water is crystal clear and smooth feeling. A wonderful product.

      Pool Aid
I have an above ground 18' ft. round pool. Took off winter cover (NON Mesh) and opened up pool as usual. Water was cloudy and dark. Rebalanced all chemicals and got that right but water remained cloudy even after a couple of days. I have a sand filter so just kept sending a few inches of pool water to WASTE (then backwash, rinse, filter) and then replaced those few inches with FRESH water. Did this every other day. Checked water chemical balance daily -- all good. Would maybe only need to add ... read more more Chlorine shock to assist in killing algae, etc. Water still cloudy a week later. After a week of still not seeing the bottom and not wanting to spend $$$$ on chemicals not needed. I tried POOL AID and you should KEEP your filter running!! Do not shut if off. Next morning, saw the pool bottom!!! Dead stuff dropped down so and I vacuumed off to WASTE cycle and got almost all of it OFF off pool bottom! An amazing, quick working, timesaver product! Who knew? Did a second round of Pool Aid (half of the first round)...just to get it crystal clear....I will see it this this afternoon..and I'm sure the water will now be even more clear! This saved me tons of work and buying useless chemicals. I am impressed and would recommend if you do not want to waste time and money. TRY this first! Then see if it's anything else.

      JUST...WOW
Literally grew up taking care of pools my whole life from parents house to mine. We have a 40x20x9 inground. This one cube works AWESOME! Water has not been so sparkling clear for so long with other liquid clarifiers ever! We will def be purchasing this every year. My 3" chlorine puck consumption has been cut in half this year! Buying another now for my moms pool and if it does the same no doubt this would be the best pool chemical product i have used in 30 years of maintaining pools. I was ... read more skeptical like the rest and NEVER write reviews...this product deserves it esp when we keep getting comments on how awesome the water looks! Best 20 bucks spent on my pool in years!

      Our pool truly does sparkle!
Our pool gets cleaned and shocked once a week and I like to add a chlorine tablet to the skimmer when I do. As a result our pool water usually looks pretty good. Since I started adding a sparkle plus cube to the skimmer though our water truly does sparkle! It often amazes me at how clear it is. It does exactly what it says! Now I order two at a time so I never run out!

Awesome Product would recoomend to anyone
I found this product last year after 10 years of struggling with a cloudy pool. I will never be without it again. Just drop it in the filter baskets and within a few days the water really does "sparkle". I use 1/2 the amount of shock and algaecide as I used to so it pays for itself immediately. I would recommend this product to anyone with a pool.

      Great product
We have had a lot of rain and it makes our pool very cloudy. When I use this clarifier it clears it right up.

      GREAT PRODUCT
Had very cloudy water since I closed my pool last winter. Had tried a few different products at closing, and a few more when I opened the pool a few weeks ago. No luck. After reading the reviews here on Super Floc Clarifier I decided to try it. Well it works. Had to do it twice, but water is crystal clear. One bit of advice is that you have to be very careful when vacuuming because the small particles will start moving around and cloud the water again, and also send the return out to waste. You ... read more lose a bit of water, but it's worth it. Water fell to about the bottom level of the skimmer. took about 45 min. to replace the water.

      Magical
I tried everything for over a month to clear up my pool water. You could not see half way down in the water. I have a 33'x18'x54" pool 19,000 gallons of water. I tried 2 different types of clarifier and everything else I could imagine short of draining the pool. Well I decided to give this product a try on a last ditch effort before draining most of the water. Well I followed the directions and put 16OZ of this product in the pool let it circulate for 2 hours shut the pump off and over night ... read more magic. Everything went to the bottom I vaccumed to waste and now my pool is crystal clear. Thanks in the swim for such a great working product.

      Finally Cleared Up My Pool
My pool clouded up terribly after my son shut-off the return valves while the pump ran for a day. I tried Pool Perfect, several clarrifiers, algecides, shock, metal removers, etc. - none of them did a single thing but waste alot of money and time. Within a hour of putting this in the pool it started clearing up the water. After an overnight with the pump turned off, the water was completely clear. Takes a little work, though. After the water clears you must vacumn the pool manually (no ... read more auto-cleaners) while the filter is in the WASTE position, thus wasting ALOT of water. But, when all else failed, this worked like a charm, just be patient!

      works great!
10 x 14 hot tub. 10 people in the hot tub for a great Alabama football game...can leave quite a ring of stuff around the edges. Two scumballs and all clean overnight. Works for months. Just leave them in until they start to sink...then replace.
    2. 4 years ago
All pools should have a scumball
They really do the job and keep the waterline free from scum. I am really happy I bought them.
    3. 1 decade ago
      loved it
I would recommed the balls to anyone that has a hot tub.

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Clarifiers

    In The Swim's Dr. Pool

    Pool Clarifiers Coagulate Small Particles

In The Swim pool water clarifiers work by causing fine debris particles to coagulate into larger particles which can then be removed from the pool water through the pool filter system. In The Swim's pool clarifiers are available in a ultra-concentrated formula so you can achieve water clarity while using half the dosage rates of other swimming pool clarifiers.

How Do Clarifiers Work? Pool clarifiers act as coagulants; positively charged polymers are attracted to negatively charged particles floating in the pool. Particles that are too small to be filtered are coagulated together into larger, more easily filtered clumps. After adding a pool clarifier, your filter does the work for you, clearing the water until such point that the filter needs cleaning.

Who Needs to Use Pool Clarifiers? Pool clarifiers can benefit any pool owner who wants a sparkling clear pool, with less visible particles floating in the water. Pools with large DE filters should not need to use clarifiers, but sand and cartridge filters can pass particles of visible size, making your pool look hazy, dull or cloudy. Clarifiers add clarity to the pool water, and are useful after spring opening, after algae battles, or as a filter aid to help undersized or poor performing pool filters.

When Should You Not Use Clarifiers?

    • - Immediately after shocking the pool, high chlorine can destroy clarifiers. Wait until chlorine level returns to normal.
    • - Within 3 days of a previous clarifier treatment; over-dosing with clarifier can have the opposite effect, acting as a dispersant!
    • - If you have a DE pool filter. Polymer clarifiers can clog DE filter grids. Use a chitin based clarifier instead, like Sea-Klear or our Ultra-Clear

Are Enzymes also Pool Clarifiers? Not exactly, pool enzymes are a natural product that can be used to remove oils and organic debris in the pool water. Enzymes are often blended with clarifiers for a multi-purpose treatment, in products such as Pool Perfect, Pool First Aid, or Free & Klear, for faster water clarity. Pool enzymes also clean your pool filter by removing oily deposits that make filtering less efficient.
