Easy to assemble and great valute!
We purchased the single stair step for our in-ground pool and we are delighted with how easy it was to assemble - only needed a mallet to lock the pieces in place. Adding the sand as ballast took the most time because we used heavy playground sand which didn't pass through the funnel and small openings easily. Steps are sturdy and convenient.

      great steps, well built
i have a liner in-ground pool with metal steps which i don't really like. i purchased the main step with 2 handrails. i'm 60 years old and recommend a friend or wife to help out. takes about a hour or 2. not hard just reading and doing each step. we bought a 50 pound bag of sand that was damp and did not pour well. needed to sit in sun for awhile to dry out. also, it takes about 20 minutes to get air out once you put in water. to secure the "arms" to hold steps in place i used 12" spikes to nail ... read more into ground. overall a great purchase.

      Glad I trusted my gut!
Recently purchased a home w/pool that came with many surprises. I'm happy to say the Curve System Steps did NOT add to my frustrations. I read many reviews on these steps... most were not favorable, but I really wanted them, They are time consuming to assemble when done properly. 1 person/about 4 hours. All pieces of the steps were in the box. All 'locking' pieces fit together without a problem. We used 80 lbs. of sand to be sure we had enough weight. I suggest 3-4 people to aid in getting them ... read more into the pool and secured. We were thrilled when the pool company we hired offered to help us with this part! I'd also purchased a pad for underneath (vinyl liner) to protect the floor and it fit perfectly. The ONLY problem we came across was the very top step. 'Someone' 'had tried to get the step to 'pop' into place using a rubber mallet and cracked the under side of the step where the locking mechanism is. The step is to be placed by lowering the step onto a 'nub' and then sliding the step towards the back to lock. 2 small bungee cords and a couple of small brackets/screws...problem solved. Also we did use the "arms" to secure the stairs to the cement sidewalk. We've been using them for almost 3 weeks now and have had no problems with the stairs not staying in place. They 'feel' strong and the "tread" on the steps keeps one from slipping. The very last step is a bit high, but you get used to it. Hope to return here to update after the season is done.

      Good Quality
The steel steps were definitely worth the extra couple dollars apart from the plastic steps also available. This whole ladder set up makes it real easy to replace only what is needing replacement thus keeping cost overall very low.

      Great ladder
I bought this a month ago, we were looking for a decent priced ladder for our in ground pool. This arrives quickly and we put it together with no problems. Looks great in pool.

      Works fine.
I bought this ladder to replace a two step ladder that was damaged. This ladder is just slightly longer than the two step ladder but it still fits in the shallow end of the pool. the top step is very close to the level of the concrete and it seems it is easier to get out of the pool. Very easy to assemble.

More About In-ground Pool Ladders and Inground Pool Steps

In-ground pool steps and pool ladders can give your pool an updated look while improving safety around your pool. In The Swim carries the Curve in-ground pool step system and several styles of in-ground pool ladders and hand railsIn The Swim also stocks a full supply of replacement parts for pool ladders, such as ladder treads, bumpers and escutcheon plates, along with deck anchors and pool ladder accessories.

It’s hard to change the look of an existing in-ground pool without expensive overhauls, but a new Stainless Steel pool ladder, a Designer pool ladder or available in six cool colors, Saftron pool ladders. For pools without built-in steps, make a grand entrance with a new step system for in-ground pools is a simple and affordable way to make your pool look more accessible and attractive.

To remove a pool ladder from the deck anchor sockets, first raise the escutcheon plate, sliding it up the rail to allow access to the anchor wedge bolt. Use a 1/2" socket or box end wrench to loosen the wedge bolt, until it rises up about 3/8". Tap the bolt head with heavy wrench or hammer, to knock it down flush to the anchor again, to loosen the anchor wedge, allowing you to pull the rail out of the socket. Rocking the rail from side to side will help to loosen the rail from the anchor.

To replace a pool ladder: All of our in-ground pool ladders install easily into standard deck anchors, placed 20" apart, and 24" behind the ladder rails, on center. Our replacement pool ladders are designed to standard specs for easy assembly and drop-in installation into your existing deck anchors. New pool ladders include ladder bumpers and escutcheon plates but do not include anchor sockets or deck flanges.

To install a new pool ladder: Cut-out a 20" x 30" area of the pool deck behind the coping. Place anchor sockets mounted on a 20" channel, add steel mesh and pour a new concrete pad up to the lip of the anchor sockets. Allow the concrete to cure for 7-14 days before using the ladder. Pool ladders can also be surface mounted with aluminum deck flanges
