      great product
This stair system is really a great product. From being on my feet all day for my job, they are shot. The regular exit stairs to our pool were so narrow that it was all I could do to get out of the pool. So for the last year I didn't get in. I love my pool. So looked in your catalog, because we ordered quite a few things from In the Swim. There they were and what a blessing. Now if you could do something about the weather.

      Love these steps
We have had these stairs in our pool for over 13 years. I bought the original ones from another retailer for a lot more money 13 years ago. We broke them this year because we didn't have the man power to lift and should have had someone in the water helping to get them out. These steps have been great for babies, they have been through 5 grandchildren and my 90 year old mother really loves them, she can get in and out of the pool very easily which is why I am purchasing the same stairs as I had.

      Pool Ladder
Had a vertical ladder before this one that was difficult to climb and wobbly, and this ladder is much more stable and easier to use when getting out of the pool. So I think this is a very nice ladder for the price.

      Great Ladder
So thankful to find a ladder that is made to screw onto a wood deck. We bought a 52 inch above ground pool after our 19 year old pool collapsed. All the new pools are 52 inches so our deck had to be modified because the old pool was 48 inches. We built a step up that made is over 55 inches high. You can not walk or step on the new plastic/resin top pools, so we had to build the deck over the top rails. This ladder was the 3rd ladder we purchased and we were so happy to finally find one that ... read more worked. We also have a sloped bottom so the middle is a bit deeper. This ladder was exactly what we were looking for. Also made in USA which was a real plus!!!

Nice ladder for the price. Didn't want a big bulky ladder. This one is perfect

      ladder conversion kit
The new conversion kit was much heavier and more durable than the other pieces that were on the latter. I'm very well pleased with them and the shipping time was very short

      Did the job nicely
Although I think that $40 + shipping was a bit much for 4 pieces of plastic. It was exactly what I need to convert the step portion of my old ladder into a usable step into the pool of the deck. I guess nothing is cheap anymore

      Made my pool functional again!!
Bought his ladder over a stock above ground pool ladder that was way to dangerous to use. This ladder has allowed my family to use our year old pool without worrying about the ladder collapsing or having to have a second person to assist getting into our 18' x 48" Intek pool

      Ladder is great
We are happy with our purchase. Ladder is easy to climb and sturdy.

Overall I am pleased. It was challenging to assemble but if you read everything properly it does help. You need gravel to put in one side for ballast. Drill extra holes to fill with water faster. Be prepared to drill into your pool rail for added stability. Frankly, it is almost as sketchy as other models but once secured to the rail, it is pretty solid. I choose to NOT assemble the gate and it is just fine as I have a fence around my pool.

      nice sturdy ladder
This ladder is very sturdy and priced right, word of advice is the hardware is stainless steel and the threads will get screwed up easily. If you tighten down really tight, dont plan on taking it apart cause unless you use anti sieze youll never get it back apart 8 outta 10 times. Use hand screwdriver and not drill driver

A very sturdy ladder. So much better than the ladder that came with our pool. If you have so heavier people n your group this ladder works great.

      pretty good
I bought this ladder on sale its a really good ladder, but prepared to punch out all the holes,an what they call a safety piece behind the ladder is stupid

Very safe if you have water babies around
This ladder is really very tall. It’s too tall for our needs but we kept it anyway. It took over an hour to put together which was more than we anticipated. We have a 2 year old granddaughter so we really like the slide lock for maximum safety.

ladder not up to code in CT
ladder needs to have a self-locking gate so it's not up to code, at least in Watertown, CT. Other than that great product

      Sturdy ladder
Sturdy ladder. Would like it to have a wider base, but is much better than the one that came with the pool.

      Very good ladder
This is a solid ladder and is lightweight. Make sure you cut your hole through your deck on the small side. This will keep the ladder from raising up and moving.

      Not impressed
The ladder seems to be very well made and very comfortable to use but even after putting 12 small bricks in the available spaces, the ladder would not remain on the bottom of the pool. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that this was a replacement ladder and I used the same deck fitting to mount it. From what I can see that should not have made a difference.

      okay ladder
Not sure why but this ladder does not rest flat on the floor of the pool..... the back of the bottom step is on the floor and the front is off the floor. For some reason this year i am having trouble with algae growing inside the back openings of the ladder and on any highly textured areas of the steps.... odd... b/c i'm not having an algae problem in the pool. I didn't have this problem last year. Today i ended up taking the ladder out of the pool and laying on the ground and putting a mix of ... read more bleach and water in all the little slots, let it sit for the afternoon, went back out and hosed it out and it was clean. wish i just went with the cheaper ladder..... i liked the ladder i originally had to replace.... solid steps with little holes to fill the step and it sat flat against the floor of the pool.

More About Above Ground Pool Steps & Above Ground Pool Ladders

Above ground pool steps and ladders are important pool equipment for the safety of pool users and pets. In The Swim offers a variety of steps and ladders for every above ground pool owner’s budget, whether or not your pool has a full or partial pool deck

For above ground pools without a deck, a two-sided ladder like the Roll Guard A-frame safety ladder and the Evolution A-frame safety ladder are useful necessities. Take a 'step-up' in quality and size with two-sided pool step systems that feature an outside safety gate such as the Deluxe Entry System or the Combo Step Entry System that combines wide and sturdy stairs outside the pool, and a thick yet unobtrusive ladder inside the pool. Double sided pool A-frame ladders are weighted with sand or pebbles, to sit solidly on the pool floor and stay firmly in place.

For above ground pools with a deck, you can use the single pool ladder or the wider and safer pool steps, connected to your pool deck. For above ground pool ladders, look at the Heavy Duty In-Pool Ladder, or the 5-Step Stainless Steel pool ladders. Above ground pool steps are selected from 4 models, including the popular Staircase Steps and the elegant Curve Step System. Weighted pool steps connect to your pool deck and make a stable way for kids and adults to enter and exit the pool safely. Pool steps or stairs also make a great place to sit in the pool!

Vinyl Works and Confer above ground pool ladders and steps are made from roto-molded thermoplastics, designed to be easily assembled and quickly installed, with all parts and complete instructions included. The most cost-efficient models include the single pool ladder that attaches to your pool deck or a double sided pool ladder for above ground pools without a deck. The more expensive models include locking safety gates, wide and deep treads and platform, solid handrails, and weight ratings of up to 300 lbs. Using a ladder pad or step pad is recommended to protect your pool liner.
