    Pool Clarifiers

      Works perfect
Our pool chemical testing was perfect every week, but our pool did not have the beautiful clear look. This product really worked. I was unsure that any product could make the pool water clear again and this one did.

      Worked...
The product did make a difference to the water's clarity. Note that I keep a pretty clean pool, yet this product added an additional sparkle... I did not have a clouding problem so I cannot comment. Yet a noticeable improvement resulted.

      The name says it all!!
Fastest working clarifier I ever tried! Great for those times after a hard rain when small debris clouds up the water or when ground dirt gets into the pool. My pool is surrounded on three sides by woods so if it works for me, it should work for most "normal" pools. I also use it a day before having people over to give the wafer that great shine we all look for.

      What is in this bottle?
Purchased because of product claim. I have too much trust for product claims made about pool chemicals. My pool does sparkle now and is very clear. Was it because of super clarifier? I do not know. Next week will be the third week for super clarifier weekly maintenance dosage to my pool. I think this bottle will last for the remainder of this pool season the all of the next year's pool season. I would give super clarifier a higher rating if I knew the content of super clarifier and that content ... read more was known to be a pool clarifier.

      Worked Overnight
Wow this stuff is great! Our pump went out and the water got a little cloudy in the few days it was out. Put the super clarifier in and the next morning all material had settled to bottom and water was clearest I have ever seen it.

Cloudy water clear in one day!
My pool was cloudy at the end of last Summer. I could not get it cleared. It was clear for a few weeks when I opened it this year, but went cloudy fast. Chemicals all look good. After reading reviews on Sparkle Plus, I decided it was worth a try. I ordered it on Wednesday morning, received it on Thursday afternoon, and had crystal clear water on Friday evening! Totally amazed and satisfied!

      Incredibly Effective
I have been running my pool with a non-clorine product for the past 3 years and ALWAYS had problem algae. I never saw the bottom of my pool...until this year. This product is incredible! One cube in the skimmer lasts about a month and keeps the water crystal clear. I know when the cube is completely dissolved because my water starts to cloud up again. Insert a new cube and it is crystal clear again the next day. I'll never run my pool without one of these in the skimmer.

      Super product
This is the best product I have found for removing body oil and suntan lotions/screens from the pool. It instantly dissolves that greasy ring that accumulates in the skimmer or at the top of the water line around the liner. Keeps the water sparkling clean. You have to try it.

Used in our pool...no waterline ring, made for a clearer sparkling water...does what it says it does.

      Excellent Product
I have used Pool Perfect for the last 7 years. To us, it's a worry free product that I won't be without. Keeps our pool clean, no water lines or build up of lotions.

      Lifesaver for spring cleanup
The 1st spring we opened our pool after moving into our house the pool had a terrible algae problem. We were able to rid the pool of the algae but couldn't get the water cleared up. We tried several different products from our local pool store and finally I ordered the Miraclear shell. I put it in the pump basket and the next morning the water was clear!! Every opening now just in case, I use it to make sure I won't have any issues with cloudy water.

Party Saver..stands up to its name
I bought this in a desperate need to clear my cloudy pool before a baby shower/bbq I was having. Tried for two weeks to clear my pool with several different clarifiers, nothing worked. I was stressed and thought I was going to have to cover it up as it was an eye sore and no one was going to be able to swim. In a last ditch effort I ordered these to see if it could stand up to its name. I thought expensive but had spent more on other chemicals. I put it in the filter basket at 10 PM before bed ... read more and by 9 am the next morning I was shocked to see the pool was no longer cloudy and I could actually see the bottom of the pool. I don't normally leave reviews but had to on this. This shell was a true party saver and stands up to its name. MIRACLE CLEAR.

      Better Than Most Clarifiers
Tried this at opening last year since other liquid clarifiers didn't seem to work too well. Dropped one in pump basket overnight and by the morning there was a noticeable improvement. It didn't clear up the water like magic but the water definitely looked better than when I used other products. The only drawback to this is it is a gel and was stuck to the pump basket where the water was flowing into the pump and until it disintegrated to a small size there was a drop in pressure.

      Finally Cleared Up My Pool
My pool clouded up terribly after my son shut-off the return valves while the pump ran for a day. I tried Pool Perfect, several clarrifiers, algecides, shock, metal removers, etc. - none of them did a single thing but waste alot of money and time. Within a hour of putting this in the pool it started clearing up the water. After an overnight with the pump turned off, the water was completely clear. Takes a little work, though. After the water clears you must vacumn the pool manually (no ... read more auto-cleaners) while the filter is in the WASTE position, thus wasting ALOT of water. But, when all else failed, this worked like a charm, just be patient!

      Cleared nasty algae bloom
Had perfect storm for algae: high pool temp, rain showers, and away for a week. Sweeping, shocking, algecide did not work. Superfloc cleared pool in one application.

      Life saver!!
I never saw the bottom of my pool last summer. After many visits from the pool company who installed the pool, they left me with the chore of backwashing the filter 7-8 times a day, which did nothing to clear the pool. Over the winter I made it a point to educate myself on pool maintenance. I opened the pool a month earlier and after initial clean up I used the Floc Out. One bottle did the trick and now I have my sparkling clean pool back! The pool guys indicated that I probably needed to dump ... read more the pool and refill it. . duh!! Thank you so much!

      Works as advertised
This product performs just as well as the expensive pool store product for far less money. You use generic drugs don't you, why not generic pool chemicals?

      Did a Great Job
After being gone for a week, we returned to a pool that had the color of Mountain Dew. So I shocked the pool and added the clarifier. In two days, the pool was clean and I just needed to vacuum .

      Great product
This product clears the water fast.. better than other products we've tried. Works good too for removing foreign substance in the water... we love it!

      Pool Aid
I have an above ground 18' ft. round pool. Took off winter cover (NON Mesh) and opened up pool as usual. Water was cloudy and dark. Rebalanced all chemicals and got that right but water remained cloudy even after a couple of days. I have a sand filter so just kept sending a few inches of pool water to WASTE (then backwash, rinse, filter) and then replaced those few inches with FRESH water. Did this every other day. Checked water chemical balance daily -- all good. Would maybe only need to add ... read more more Chlorine shock to assist in killing algae, etc. Water still cloudy a week later. After a week of still not seeing the bottom and not wanting to spend $$$$ on chemicals not needed. I tried POOL AID and you should KEEP your filter running!! Do not shut if off. Next morning, saw the pool bottom!!! Dead stuff dropped down so and I vacuumed off to WASTE cycle and got almost all of it OFF off pool bottom! An amazing, quick working, timesaver product! Who knew? Did a second round of Pool Aid (half of the first round)...just to get it crystal clear....I will see it this this afternoon..and I'm sure the water will now be even more clear! This saved me tons of work and buying useless chemicals. I am impressed and would recommend if you do not want to waste time and money. TRY this first! Then see if it's anything else.

      Excellent!
We had an algae bloom from trapped water in a damaged solar cover. We killed the algea, but the pool became foggy. We tried everything to get rid the fog. Spent lots of money in the process. Finally, I read some reviews on this product and for the price thought it was worth a try. It cleared the pool up overnight! Now, I keep a bottle on hand. At the hint of a fog I put a dose in and the water is crystal clear and smooth feeling. A wonderful product.

      Great product!
We went on vacation and left the pool with the pump off. When we got back home, we had a bad algae problem. We got the algae cleared, and used clarifiers, but the water stayed cloudy. I ordered this product and it cleared up the cloudy water which made me really happy. I would greatly recommend this product to a friend, and in fact, already did to a coworker.

In The Swim Knowledge Pool: Clarifiers

    In The Swim's Dr. Pool

    More About Pool Clarifiers

In The Swim pool water clarifiers work by causing fine debris particles to coagulate into larger particles which can then be removed from the pool water through the pool filter system. In The Swim's pool clarifiers are available in a ultra-concentrated formula so you can achieve water clarity while using half the dosage rates of other swimming pool clarifiers.

    How Do Clarifiers Work?

Pool clarifiers act as coagulants; positively charged polymers are attracted to negatively charged particles floating in the pool. Particles that are too small to be filtered are coagulated together into larger, more easily filtered clumps. After adding a pool clarifier, your filter does the work for you, clearing the water until such point that the filter needs cleaning.

Who Needs to Use Pool Clarifiers?

Pool clarifiers can benefit any pool owner who wants a sparkling clear pool, with less visible particles floating in the water. Pools with large DE filters should not need to use clarifiers, but sand and cartridge filters can pass particles of visible size, making your pool look hazy, dull or cloudy. Clarifiers add clarity to the pool water, and are useful after spring opening, after algae battles, or as a filter aid to help undersized or poor performing pool filters.

When Should You Not Use Clarifiers?

    • - Immediately after shocking the pool, high chlorine can destroy clarifiers. Wait until chlorine level returns to normal.
    • - Within 3 days of a previous clarifier treatment; over-dosing with clarifier can have the opposite effect, acting as a dispersant!
    • - If you have a DE pool filter. Polymer clarifiers can clog DE filter grids. Use a chitin based clarifier instead, like Sea-Klear or our Ultra-Clear

    Are Enzymes also Pool Clarifiers?

Not exactly, pool enzymes are a natural product that can be used to remove oils and organic debris in the pool water. Enzymes are often blended with clarifiers for a multi-purpose treatment, in products such as Pool Perfect, Pool First Aid, or Free & Klear, for faster water clarity. Pool enzymes also clean your pool filter by removing oily deposits that make filtering less efficient.
